Sketching Your World:
3 Keys to Meditative Drawing & Creative Expression
May 23, 2026 from 1:00-2:30 EST
“When we apply meditation to art, there’s a quality of freedom in the artistic process.
Our art becomes something we discover rather than create.” - Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
In this workshop we will:
- Learn simple skills to help you draw what you see and what you feel
- Explore how embodiment opens the door for intuition
- Discover how to release the inner critic and get into flow
This workshop is appropriate for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists who want to deepen their drawing (or painting) practice.
What if you could learn how to draw in a way that encourages you to explore your artistic voice? What if you could learn how to easily get in flow and express yourself fully?
If this sounds good, join us for the journey!
You will need:
- Paper
- Graphite pencils (HB, 2B and 6B or similar, if you have them). If you only have one pencil, that's fine too!
- An eraser (Tombow mono zero or white plastic eraser) If you don't have these, use what you've got.
- If you're using a white plastic eraser, you might want an X-acto knife or something similar to shape it with.
- Tissue paper (Kleenex)
